Izu Persecution

It is a memorial service for Nichiren Shonin held on the day he was exiled to Ito, Izu.

The Izu Buddhist memorial service is one of the four great Buddhist memorial services. He was rescued by a fisherman named Yazaburo.

Nichiren Shonin submitted his “Rissho Ankoku Ron” to the Kamakura Shogunate for the sake of the world, but he was bashed, had his house burned down, and was exiled to exile. He was 40 years old.
Fortunately, a fisherman (Yasaburo) passed by and took him into hiding.
